(Photo by MI News\/NurPhoto via Getty Images)\">Photo by MI News\/NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>And De Zerbi thinks he knows why.<\/p>\n<p>But in trying to explain why he thinks people want Tottenham to be relegated over the Hammers, De Zerbi has given more ammunition to those who feel the north Londoners are deluded.<\/p>\n<p>Because De Zerbi believes fans want to see Spurs suffer because they are among the biggest clubs around, suggesting they are a much larger fish than West Ham in the football food chain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am Italian and in Italy, it\u2019s the same,\u201d De Zerbi told Football London.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-de-zerbi-fans-want-spurs-down-because-they-re-bigger-than-west-ham\">De Zerbi: Fans want Spurs down because they\u2019re bigger than West Ham<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cFor the biggest teams, it\u2019s the same. We have to accept the pressure. We have to enjoy this pressure. We have to find new motivation from this pressure. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s a good thing for us. over the line and relegate West Ham.<\/p>\n<p>But in doing so he has figuratively patted \u2018little old West Ham\u2019 on the head and perhaps proved people who feel Spurs get above their station right.<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham are a big club and have big revenues due to their stadium but they are no bigger than the Hammers in terms of fanbase.<\/p>\n<p>And bar a few good years under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham have never done anything of note in the Premier League era.<\/p>\n<p>They have been scrapping in the lower reaches of the top flight along with West Ham for the last two years.<\/p>\n<p>So, bar income, what makes Tottenham \u2018one of the biggest\u2019 clubs around, as De Zerbi claims them to be?<\/p>\n<p>His comments will only fuel the desire at West Ham for a final
