West Ham need former manager David Moyes to do them a massive favour against Tottenham this weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Assuming that Spurs lose to Chelsea on Tuesday night, the relegation battle will go down to the final day.<\/p>\n

The Hammers would then need to beat Leeds and hope that Everton beat Tottenham to avoid relegation.<\/p>\n

Ex-West Ham playmaker Joe Cole has suggested that Moyes would join Bobby Moore in West Ham folklore if that scenario plays out.<\/p>\n

If Moyes\u2019 Everton cannot beat Spurs, West Ham will be playing in the Championship next season, regardless of what happens in their game against Leeds.<\/p>\n

However, Cole has offered Hammers supporters a glimmer of hope following their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Newcastle.<\/p>\n

He believes the great escape could still happen, after which Moyes would deserve a statue alongside Bobby Moore.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore we even get to the last day of the season, Chelsea have to beat Spurs. Then I do think West Ham will win the final game of the season,\u201d Cole explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what it\u2019s like, those players on the coach back (from Newcastle) are thinking, \u2018We\u2019re down.\u2019 <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re dead and you\u2019re given a lifeline, you\u2019re coming alive like the Undertaker. \u2018Whatever happens, we\u2019re not messing up again. We\u2019re going to beat Leeds on the last day of the season.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if West Ham are 2-0 up against Leeds and White Hart Lane is 0-0, and the Moyesiah is there\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cImagine that, a statue of him. If he produced that for West Ham, they would put his statue right next to Bobby Moore. You have to keep positive.\u201d<\/p>\n

But first, West Ham fans around the world will be cheering on Chelsea with hopes of a second chance at survival.<\/p>\n
