One player has been at the heart of their efforts – none other than England star Morgan Rogers.

As such, his excellent performances in the current campaign have attracted the attention of some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs. According to a report from TalkSPORT, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG have registered an interest in the player.

This could have ramifications elsewhere. If Rogers leaves the club, Villa could make a move for Marcus Rashford, who is current on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United (via BBC Sport).

Regardless of other clubs’ intentions, Rogers will not leave Villa without commanding a sizeable transfer fee. He is under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2031, having signed a lengthy contract extension late last year. Therefore, the Villans are under no pressure to sell.

Morgan Rogers 2025/26 Premier League Stats

Games

Goals

Assists

Yellow Cards

Red Cards

M. He has notched up 17 goal contributions in the Premier League during the current campaign – only a handful of elite stars can boast of a higher tally than this.

Not only this, he can also play in several positions. He is at his best when fielded as an attacking midfielder, but he’s perfectly capable of playing on either wing or as a central midfielder.

He is at his best when operating in the half-spaces just outside the box. There, he can whip in dangerous crosses or fire off shots from distances – he has scored a number of spectacular goals from these areas in 2025/26.

Who would benefit the most from Morgan Rogers’ arrival?

Out of all the clubs interested in a move for Rogers, Chelsea are in the most dire straits as things stand. The Blues haven’t won a Premier League game March 4, when they defeated – funnily enough – Aston Villa.

Would Rogers want to move to Chelsea? He would have to compete with Cole Palmer for a spot in the team, assuming Palmer doesn’t leave the club in the summer. Should the former Manchester CIty academy graduate secure a transfer away from Stamford Bridge, Rogers would be a fantastic like-for-like replacement.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have a strong selection of attacking midfielders at their disposal. Bruno Fernandes is their main man, but Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha can also function as number tens – therefore, bringing Rogers on board seems redundant.

PSG have some of the best players in the world at their disposal. For all of Rogers’ talents, he is several classes below the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.

This just leaves Arsenal. While Mikel Arteta doesn’t factor in an attacking midfielder into his preferred setup, Rogers could thrive on the wings for the Gunners.

With Gabriel Martinelli having underwhelmed this season and Leandro Trossard looking likely to leave, it makes sense for Rogers to join the club. He would still have to compete with Eberechi Eze, but he has vastly out-performed the former Crystal Palace man this season.

[4

post-10685","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-chelsea
["GET
