Tottenham legend Heung-min Son has reflected on the Lilywhites\u2019 relegation battle ahead of their big showdown against Chelsea this evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, it appeared as if Spurs would struggle to get the points they needed to secure their place in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

However, the Lilywhites now find themselves within touching distance of their goal after picking up eight points in their last four matches, while West Ham lost three in a row.<\/p>\n

That means Roberto De Zerbi\u2019s men only need a point in their final two matches to all but secure their place in the top-flight, and one of their former superstars has now sent a message ahead of the London derby.<\/p>\n

Heung-min Son is hoping Tottenham can secure safety at Stamford Bridge<\/h2>\n

Son has confessed that he has been watching closely from across the pond as the Lilywhites fight to avoid going down for the first time in nearly half a century.<\/p>\n

The former Tottenham captain admitted that he will be supporting his former teammates tonight and is hopeful they can get the point they need in West London.<\/p>\n

Son said (via BBC MOTD): \u201cThe whole season I\u2019ve been watching Spurs, every single game, watching the results, watching the highlights, watching the games as much as I can.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpurs is still in my heart, and I\u2019m supporting them, and I hope they can get a good result against Chelsea and stay in the Premier League, which they deserve\u201d \u201cI love them, I love the supporters, I love this club.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tottenham have a shambolic record at Chelsea, having won just once at Stamford Bridge in 33 visits in the Premier League era.<\/p>\n

A point will be enough for the Lilywhites to all but secure their safety, given the 13-goal advantage they have over West Ham on goal difference.<\/p>\n

However, De Zerbi has made it clear that Tottenham will look to beat Chelsea and will not go to their rivals\u2019 home ground to play for a draw.<\/p>\n
