Spurs\u00a0could have effectively secured their Premier League\u00a0safety on Tuesday night with just a draw but lost 2-1 at Chelsea to give West Ham United hope. <\/p>\n

There are now only two points in it with just one match left to play. <\/p>\n

West Ham are still\u00a0favourites\u00a0to go\u00a0down\u00a0and\u00a0Opta\u2019s analytics\u00a0rate their chances of being relegated at 86.67%. <\/p>\n

Spurs, meanwhile, are handed a 13.33% chance. <\/p>\n

A battle that has waged on for months will go down to the final day of a turbulent campaign for two fierce rivals. <\/p>\n

Spurs have consistently failed to put West Ham away when they could have done and could well live to\u00a0regret it. <\/p>\n

Somehow, the Irons are still alive. <\/p>\n

The bottom end of the Premier League table is where the most intrigue lies heading into the final day, with Arsenal having won the title following Manchester City\u2019s draw with Bournemouth. <\/p>\n

What West Ham need to avoid relegation from the Premier League <\/h2>\n

The maths are pretty simple for West Ham. They need to beat Leeds at the London Stadium on Sunday and hope that Spurs lose at home to Everton. <\/p>\n

Anything other than that scenario would see them relegated. <\/p>\n

Spurs, clearly, are still in the driving seat. <\/p>\n

They are masters of their own destiny, although that is not currently a luxury that they have relished thus far. <\/p>\n

The fact that West Ham\u00a0are\u00a0playing at home is also significant. They have\u00a0largely been\u00a0good there since the turn of the year, and the London Stadium\u00a0will\u00a0no doubt be the scene of quite the atmosphere on Sunday. <\/p>\n
