Chelsea\u2019s return to winning ways brought the best out of Enzo Fernandez, with Jamie Carragher believing he is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enzo Fernandez\u2019s stunning long-range drive got the Blues on their way to a 2-1 victory against Tottenham, a result that has become more than predictable at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

The World Cup winner picked up an assist with a deft touch to tee up Andrey Santos, adding more goal contributions in an already excellent season.<\/p>\n

Enzo Fernandez described as \u2018one of the best\u2019 in the Premier League by Jamie Carragher<\/h2>\n

Fernandez has 22 goal contributions from midfield, a figure that sees him sit above most others in his position in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Even before he had found the net though, Jamie Carragher, who was commentating on the game for Sky Sports, was in awe of the Argentine\u2019s performance, labelling him as one of the best in the league. <\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHe\u2019s one of the best midfield players in the Premier League, Enzo Fernandez. I\u2019m a big fan, can play loads of different positions in midfield.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fernandez scored well in our player ratings, and his future is a hot topic of conversation ahead of next season, with Xabi Alonso set to come in.<\/p>\n

Alonso wants Fernandez in his Chelsea side next season, however it remains to be seen whether the midfielder can be convinced to remain at the club.<\/p>\n

Fernandez wants assurances to stay at Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Fernandez has so far not been won over to stay at the club, although he is expected to sit down with Alonso soon to discuss his future.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that Fernandez wants big-name signings to come in to Stamford Bridge, including Spurs defender Cristian Romero.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen how great Chelsea\u2019s pull is in the transfer market though, given their faint hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are now over.<\/p>\n
