A new rumour has emerged that is set to raise a few eyebrows, with one of Chelsea\u2019s main men supposedly set to ask Xabi Alonso to leave.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso faces an immediate baptism of fire at Chelsea, with his very first task being to win over some of the big names at Stamford Bridge. <\/p>\n

Despite his pedigree and the club granting him the authoritative manager title, Alonso inherits a dressing room of unsettled stars holding considerable leverage. <\/p>\n

Joao Pedro is being linked with a move to Barcelona, potentially viewing it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to replace Robert Lewandowski.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, key figures like Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella are continuously linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge, meaning Alonso must quickly sell his vision to players. <\/p>\n

Joao Pedro wants to leave Chelsea this summer<\/h2>\n

Jose Alvarez has made a bizarre claim on El Chiringuito, saying that Joao Pedro will speak with Xabi Alonso to tell him that he wants to leave. <\/p>\n

This comes after Pedro missed out on Brazil\u2019s 2026 World Cup squad, with Carlo Ancelotti giving little to no explanation for his snub this summer.<\/p>\n

It seems highly unlikely that he will have requested an exit before even getting to work with Alonso, though nobody truly knows the striker\u2019s thinking. <\/p>\n

Joao Pedro refused to give much away on his future<\/h2>\n

Speaking after missing out on his World Cup dream, Joao Pedro gave a rather classy response, vowing to focus on getting better rather than moaning about his situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to give my best at all times. Unfortunately, it wasn\u2019t possible to fulfil this dream of representing my country in a World Cup, but I remain calm and focused, as I always try to be.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoys and frustrations are part of football. From now on, I wish good luck to everyone who is there and I will be just another fan cheering for them to bring the sixth title home.\u201d<\/p>\n
