Chelsea have seemingly given the keys to their operation to Xabi Alonso in order to persuade him to join \u2013 and we don\u2019t mind that at all.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The appointment of Xabi Alonso is clearly the big news of the last few days. Law spoke a little about Alonso and the \u201cmanager\u201d title he\u2019s been given as opposed to the \u201chead coaches\u201d Chelsea had before.<\/p>\n \u201cThe way it\u2019s been explained to me \u2013 he\u2019s basically now part of this sporting leadership team, Law explained.<\/p>\n \u201cClearly he\u2019s not a sporting director, but he comes onto the sporting leadership team level. There\u2019s the owners, then there\u2019s the sporting leadership team, you used to then have the head coach.<\/p>\n \u201cThis has been put to me as simply as: he is an equal in that setup. So it is different, he will be listened to.
