Jarrod Bowen will soon find out whether he has made England\u2019s 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thomas Tuchel will name all 26 players on Friday morning, with Bowen among those nervously awaiting a call-up.<\/p>\n

The West Ham captain is likely to be in a head-to-head battle with Arsenal\u2019s Noni Madueke for a backup role to Bukayo Saka.<\/p>\n

Thomas Tuchel\u2019s England World Cup squad may shape Jarrod Bowen\u2019s future<\/h2>\n

Jarrod Bowen\u2019s West Ham future is already up in the air ahead of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

The Hammers will probably be relegated to the Championship this weekend, barring disaster for Tottenham, which would leave them in a precarious financial position.<\/p>\n

West Ham would then need to raise funds through selling several key players, and Bowen is undoubtedly one of their most valuable assets.<\/p>\n

However, even if they wanted to keep the Englishman at the London Stadium, he could still push for a move to stay in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

He might also ask to leave even if the Hammers avoid relegation, especially if he has ambitions of playing in European competition again.<\/p>\n

Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle have all been linked with a summer move for Bowen if he became available.<\/p>\n

One aspect of Bowen\u2019s future that has not been widely discussed is his desire to play for England for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

At 29 years old, he might have only one more opportunity to represent England at a major tournament after the World Cup.<\/p>\n

He will be 31 when Tuchel names his squad for the 2028 European Championship in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.<\/p>\n

Particularly if he misses out on a World Cup place to Madueke, who has only played a bit-part role at Arsenal, Bowen may feel like he is at a disadvantage by playing for West Ham.<\/p>\n

It is no coincidence that bigger clubs tend to have more representation in national team squads.<\/p>\n

Therefore, if Tuchel decides not to take him to the World Cup, Bowen might feel obliged to leave for the betterment of his international career.<\/p>\n

He would not be the first player to complete a transfer with the national team on his mind.<\/p>\n

West Ham fans would already have been hoping that Bowen\u2019s name would be called on Friday, but the outcome could have bigger implications than many will realise.<\/p>\n
