Carragher could see the logic of starting three centre-halves against the likes of Arsenal and Man City (a narrow 1-0 defeat and a valiant 1-1 draw) but not against Eddie Howe\u2019s underachieving Newcastle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understood going to Arsenal with a back three; I think most people would understand that going up against the best team in the country. But to do that at Newcastle, with so little time before the end of the season when you need to win, I thought that was a big mistake from the manager,\u201d Carragher adds. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI expect to see him go back to what West Ham have been doing really well in that 4-4-2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven though you would rather be in Tottenham\u2019s position, West Ham know they have to win. They have to try and score early. The West Ham crowd will be right up for this. It needs a strong start. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cForget that they are playing a promoted team \u2013 Leeds are really good and look like they have been in the Premier League for four or five years. They have to start quick and put the pressure on Leeds, use the atmosphere here. The fans coming here, it\u2019s hope rather than belief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you look at West Ham all season, they\u2019ve been really poor. Three wins in the first 23\u2014that\u2019s why they will go down if it happens.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-gary-neville-predicts-a-nervy-day-for-tottenham-hotspur\">Gary Neville predicts a nervy day for Tottenham Hotspur<\/h2>\n<p>Everton boss David Moyes could enhance his West Ham legend by sending Tottenham into the Championship while saving his former employers in the process. I can\u2019t see it being easy for Tottenham at all. Everton will be relaxed; David Moyes is an experienced operator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is some experience in that Tottenham team and, my goodness, they are going to need that. I think it\u2019s going to be really, really uncomfortable. There are fans in their thousands welcoming that coach into the stadium; I\u2019m not sure that will help the Tottenham players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, if West Ham are losing 2-0, it will filter through in a very positive way. But if West Ham score, it will filter through in a negative way and make this atmosphere even more eerie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey deserve this, Tottenham, for every decision they\u2019ve made over the last couple of seasons,\u201d Neville adds of a side who find themselves dreaming of a 17th-place finish for a second successive campaign. \u201cWhere they have been in the league has been an absolute disgrace. They\u2019ve let every one of these 60,000 fans down for a long time now and they could get their comeuppance on the pitch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are not good enough to be able to dictate that they are going to get a draw out of the match. This Spurs team can\u2019t manage a game well. They don\u2019t have a clue what\u2019s going to happen from one minute to the next.
