Any hope West Ham United had of keeping Chelsea loanee Axel Disasi at the London Stadium went up in smoke when relegation was confirmed on the final day of the Premier League season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sidelined at Stamford Bridge and no longer within reach for a club facing a return to the second-tier, what does the future hold for the France international centre-back?<\/p>\n

Axel Disasi, at least, can look back on his brief spell at West Ham United with a degree of personal pride. <\/p>\n

Disasi bought into life at the London Stadium right from day one, and repaid the faith shown in him by Nuno Espirito Santo with a series of commanding performances at the heart of a backline greatly improved by his presence.<\/p>\n

Disasi proved to be the perfect foil for Konstantinos Mavropanos \u2013 the club\u2019s newly-crowned Player of the Year \u2013 while six of their seven clean sheets came with him in the XI.<\/p>\n

It should come as little surprise then that, according to French publication Foot Mercato, interested parties are already queuing up to make their interest known.<\/p>\n

West Ham made it clear early on that Chelsea would not get back the \u00a338 million they paid to sign Disasi from Monaco in 2023. Further reports indicated that the Blues would look to recoup around \u00a320 million. <\/p>\n

A fee that, had the Hammers survived at Tottenham\u2019s expense, would likely have made a permanent transfer possible. Foot Mercato say that relegation \u2018completely changes the situation\u2019, however. <\/p>\n

A number of interested clubs are making enquiries already. Chelsea are therefore set to be the beneficiaries of their forgotten man\u2019s London Stadium revival; a summer sale deemed \u2018very likely\u2019 and a bidding war potentially on the cards.<\/p>\n

The report does not say which clubs are in the mix. <\/p>\n

AC Milan were extremely keen on Disasi in the winter, though, and could move again. A host of Premier League sides in need of defensive reinforcements may also feel that they could do a whole lot worse.<\/p>\n
