Chelsea are hoping to change their whole club culture this summer, with Xabi Alonso spearheading the change.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

A source has told them that new manager Xabi Alonso is seen as the perfect man to fix that.<\/p>\n \u201cA culture reset is needed at Chelsea. They want Alonso to spearhead that. Back when Alonso was appointed, sources told football.london the club believe the 44-year-old is the ideal candidate to come into Cobham and build a culture,\u201d Bobby Vincent wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cNot just a team on the pitch, but a united group away from it. The club\u2019s sporting directors believe that is a fundamental part to achieving modern-day success in football.\u201d<\/p>\n Well if they believe that, why didn\u2019t they take that into consideration over the last four years, where they destroyed the existing winning culture and replaced it with a bunch of kids and mercenaries? We struggle to believe they\u2019ve only just seen the light now.<\/p>\n Still, one thing they\u2019re right about is that Alonso looks like the man to start building something. He\u2019s got the credentials as a player and a coach, and is young and hungry.
