Chelsea star Joao Pedro reportedly wants to play for Barcelona and with have a meeting with his new Chelsea manager.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso does not officially start work as Chelsea boss until the start of July, but it\u2019s become pretty clear that he has very much already started his job as the new Chelsea manager, albeit unofficially for now. I mean, he has his work cut out and a lot to do after a terrible season concludes for the Blues on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Chelsea lost 2-1 against Sunderland to see out a miserable season, finishing up in 10th spot in the league and missing out on any kind of European football for next season.<\/p>\n

Alonso has a task and a half on his hands to get Chelsea firing again and back challenging at the very top, but he is going to need his best players to stay at the club and help with this. But if Pedro wants to leave so bad, then do you really want to try and stop him? Personally, I don\u2019t want any player here who does not want to be here\u2026<\/p>\n

Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez posted on X last night:<\/p>\n

\u201cJoao Pedro wants to play for Barcelona and has a meeting scheduled with Xabi Alonso. Chelsea for now is not listening to offers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The end bit remains the saving grace for Chelsea fans right now though, that the club do not want to sell.<\/p>\n
