Claims are being made that Chelsea are set for yet another major squad overhaul led by new manager Xabi Alonso.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Spaniard officially starts work at Chelsea at the start of July, but it\u2019s clear that he has already got to work at the club unofficially.<\/p>\n

Alonso has a lot of work to do, and he is kind of being billed now as Chelsea\u2019s only hope, Chelsea\u2019s saviour. There is already a lot of pressure on the new manager to \u2018save\u2019 the club and bring them back to where they need to be.<\/p>\n

The club has been awfully run the last four years under the new owners, so you\u2019d be forgiven for thinking that it will take more than just Alonso to get them back to the top again. And also, another squad overhaul just three years after the last massive one, and spending almost \u00a32bn along the way? That\u2019s absolutely crazy to be in this position again already. But here we are..<\/p>\n

Spanish outlet Diario AS are reporting that Xabi Alonso is preparing a MAJOR overhaul at Chelsea after failing to qualify for Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

I mean, we need to do this, it\u2019s just mad that we need to do this after only doing it three years prior. Yikes.<\/p>\n
