David Moyes has made a controversial claim after Everton\u2019s 2-1 defeat against West Ham on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Toffees manager was frustrated by Stuart Attwell and VAR\u2019s decision not to award his team a penalty in the second half.<\/p>\n

\n

They considered Mateus Fernandes\u2019 handball to be accidental and not enough to warrant a penalty.<\/p>\n

Many will disagree with Moyes\u2019 outlandish accusation about the referees, including former Chelsea player Jason Cundy.<\/p>\n

Jason Cundy rubbishes David Moyes\u2019 suggestion that referees favoured West Ham<\/h2>\n

In an interview with talkSPORT, Moyes suggested the referees were biased towards West Ham against Everton.<\/p>\n

He indicated the Hammers would have been awarded a penalty if an Everton player had made the same mistake as Fernandes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can imagine, if it had been the other way around here today and West Ham had been in that situation against us, I think they would find it very hard not to give that decision,\u201d Moyes said.<\/p>\n

While former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O\u2019Hara sympathised with Moyes, Cundy could not have disagreed more.<\/p>\n

The ex-Chelsea man argued the Scotsman was talking \u201cutter rubbish\u201d about bias towards West Ham.<\/p>\n

Cundy responded: \u201cCome on, Dave. It is a penalty, but I love the way managers really like to try to twist things to go, \u2018Well, if it had been the other way round\u2026\u2019 No. They made a mistake. It happens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I can\u2019t accept is David Moyes trying to imply that had it been the other way round, the decision would have gone their way. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s implying that they are conspiring against Everton, which is utter rubbish.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was disappointing to see Moyes take such a controversial stance, especially after a game against his former club.<\/p>\n

Premier League referees (even those with video assistance) make mistakes every weekend, and it has nothing to do with home advantage.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it would not be overly surprising if the FA were to investigate Moyes\u2019 comments about the referees\u2019 penalty decision.<\/p>\n
