Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Flloyd Hasselbaink has been explaining what \u201cpoints to a bigger issue internally\u201d at Chelsea.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We all know things have been pretty awful at Chelsea for quite some time now. There has been some positives over the last four years, like winning the Club World Cup of course. But overall, it\u2019s been toxic and turmoil under the current owners.<\/p>\n

Chelsea fans have got sick and tired of it all, with many of them having checked out some time ago and lost their connection with this club. It\u2019s not the Chelsea they all know and love under the former ownership.<\/p>\n

Things could soon get better under Xabi Alonso as manager though, or at least that is the hope amongst the fan base. And Hasselbaink has been speaking about the leadership he can bring and is needed.<\/p>\n

In quotes picked up on SPTC, Hasselbaink said:<\/p>\n

(Chelsea have) said they want to look at their structure and make some changes, including bringing in some experienced players. The new manager has to be able to manage, to really be the boss when it comes to football decisions.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not good if the players know people at the top can override the manager\u2019s decisions. That just leads to a lack of respect and poor mentality. Right now, you see Chelsea being very good one game, then lacking energy the next. That points to a bigger issue internally. Leadership has to start from the top.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chelsea have now accepted that they want to sell Enzo Fernandez this summer, and are gradually lining things up to make that happen. This is one story that also will not go away.<\/p>\n
