The phrase \u2018falling upwards\u2019 may come to mind when reports emerge linking some members of West Ham United\u2019s recently-relegated squad with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yet, despite an eventual 18th place finish, Mateus Fernandes, Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville still stood out for largely positive reasons.<\/p>\n

\n

Fernandes is seemingly the man to revamp Manchester United\u2019s midfield alongside namesake, and fellow Portugal international, Bruno. Bowen is keeping his options open, and interest from a handful of Champions League clubs would surely test even his loyalty.<\/p>\n

Roma, Napoli and Chelsea have all been mentioned as potential destinations for Crysencio Summerville.<\/p>\n

Though Suleyman Ozturk, a pundit for Dutch publication Voetbal International, feels that West Ham United\u2019s number seven could potentially aim even higher. <\/p>\n

Raphinha has blossomed into one of Europe\u2019s most ruthless forwards since moving to Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022. <\/p>\n

Ozturk can envisage a world in which the Spanish champions reunite Raphinha with Summerville at the Camp Nou, especially as a left-winger to replace Man United loanee Marcus Rashford is a must this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat boy has already played quite a lot at the second level with Leeds. He has already been Player of the Year in the Championship,\u201d Ozturk says. \u201cThis season, he has promoted himself (with his good performances). <\/p>\n

\u201cSo, he is absolutely going to another club in the Premier League. That could be Arsenal. Or Liverpool. Top clubs are going to fight for him, so he can choose from a number of clubs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can imagine Raphinha dropping his name internally at FC Barcelona. Raphinha would then say: \u2018(Summerville is ) a good lad to have on the side. Rashford is an expensive option. We can integrate Summerville into the plans.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Barca turn to Anthony Gordon with Marcus Rashford leaving <\/h2>\n

Rashford appears destined to return to Old Trafford despite ending 2026\/27 with 14 goals and 14 assists in all competitions. Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon has somehow found himself at the centre of a Barcelona vs Bayern Munich tug-of-war, though Ozturk would no doubt point out that Summerville mustered only one fewer goal contribution in last season\u2019s Premier League.<\/p>\n

West Ham rejected an approach from Roma in January for the as-yet uncapped Dutchman.<\/p>\n

With Champions League football back at the Stadio Olimpico for the first time in seven years, the Gialorossi are expected to renew their interest <\/p>\n

Italian publication\u00a0Gazzetta dello Sport claimed a few days ago that West Ham may be tempted by offers worth around \u00a335 million.<\/p>\n
