After wrapping up the 2025\/26 season, we’ve rounded up some of the best stats from the campaign with the help of our friends at Opta.<\/p>\n
We suffered just one<\/strong> league defeat in 2025\/26, our fewest since the 2021\/22 campaign (also 1); however, we drew six<\/strong> games, our most ever stalemates in a WSL season.<\/p>\n We became the first<\/strong> team to win the FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup in 2025\/26.<\/p>\n Stina Blackstenius became only the second player in WSL history to score six<\/strong> goals in a season as a substitute and the first since Luc\u00eda Garc\u00eda netted six sub goals for Manchester United in 2022\/23. <\/p>\n In our final six away league games of the season, Alessia Russo became the first Arsenal player ever to score or assist in six<\/strong> consecutive away appearances in the WSL (5 goals, 4 assists).<\/p>\n Our 7<\/strong>-0 win against Leicester City at the end of April was our joint-third biggest victory in the WSL, and biggest margin of victory since May 2022 when we beat Aston Villa by the same scoreline.<\/p>\n In our final day victory vs Liverpool, we had 9<\/strong>+ shots on target in the first half of a WSL away game for the third time, also doing so in September 2020 vs West Ham (10) and May 2018 vs Bristol City (10).<\/p>\n We scored the most goals following a high turnover in the 2025\/26 WSL (9).<\/strong><\/p>\n We kept the most clean sheets in the 2025\/26 WSL, doing so in exactly half of our 22 games (11).<\/p>\n Following our 5-0 win over West Ham United in March, Ren\u00e9e Slegers became the first manager in WSL history to stay unbeaten in each of their first 16<\/strong> home matches (now 19).<\/p>\n We ended the season unbeaten in 17<\/strong> (W13 D4), just two games short of our all-time longest run without defeat in the competition set between August 2011 and October 2012 (P19 W14 D5). <\/p>\n We won the most away points in the WSL last season (24) and were one of two teams to go unbeaten at home (W8 D3) along with champions Man City (W11).<\/p>\n Mariona Caldentey made 1025<\/strong> passes in the opposition half in the WSL this season, 335 more than any other player. The Spaniard was also involved in the most open play sequences ending in a shot (145) and carried the ball further than any other midfielder (3915m). <\/p>\n Alessia Russo enjoyed her best goalscoring season in the WSL with 13<\/strong>bettering her 12 from both 2024\/25 and 2023\/24 \u2013 she scored the most away goals in the division (8) and recorded the second most away assists (5).<\/p>\n Steph Catley recorded the most clearances (49<\/strong>) and the third most passes (999<\/strong>) of any Arsenal player in the 2025\/26 WSL, as well as boasting the fifth best passing accuracy of any defender to attempt 500+ passes (90.7%).<\/p>\n The average age of our starting lineups in the 2025\/26 WSL season were older than any other sides (28<\/strong> years, 11<\/strong> days).<\/p>\n We lost the fewest games (1<\/strong>) in the 2025\/26 WSL season. <\/p>\n We also conceded the fewest goals (14<\/strong>) in the 2025\/26 WSL season. <\/p>\n We spent just 8.0<\/strong>% of our total match time trailing the WSL in 2025\/26, a lower proportion than any other side. <\/p>\n We played the joint-most games in all competitions among WSL teams last season (41<\/strong>) and won the most games (28<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Copyright 2026 The Arsenal Football Club Limited.
