The fact that West Ham United are only three points behind Nottingham Forest in the Premier League table is still not enough to convince Gary Neville that the relegation battle is a three-way fight between them and Tottenham. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hours after Forest threatened to pull away from the drop zone in the Premier League table with a 5-0 thrashing at Sunderland, West Ham United then managed to drag them back in. <\/p>\n

Indeed, West Ham are now only three points behind Forest in the Premier League, with Nuno Espirito Santo\u2019s side having beaten Everton on Saturday. <\/p>\n

Still, Neville still believes that\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a straight shootout between West Ham and Spurs. <\/p>\n

Neville thinks West Ham or Tottenham will get relegated <\/h2>\n

Wherever one stands on Neville, there\u2019s little doubt that he\u2019s one of the UK\u2019s leading pundits, so naturally his words carry weight. <\/p>\n

While the former Manchester United and England defender did not go as far as to predict exactly who will follow Wolves and Burnley out of the Premier League this season, Neville does not believe it will be Forest. <\/p>\n

He said while speaking on Sky Sports: \u201cI think Leeds are okay, I think Nottingham Forest probably need one more win, but I think they\u2019re okay. I do think it\u2019s West Ham or Spurs now.\u201d <\/p>\n

West Ham are in a precarious position with 4 games to go! \ud83d\ude2c<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

That does feel relatively harsh. While few would have picked Forest out as potential relegation candidates when they thrashed Sunderland, three points is not a huge advantage when West Ham are in such strong form themselves. <\/p>\n

Forest still have to play Chelsea, Newcastle, Manchester United and Bournemouth all while having the Europa League semi-finals against Aston Villa to contend with. <\/p>\n

They are not clear by any means, despite their vastly improved performances of late. <\/p>\n

It would be too much to say that West Ham are now looking up the table rather than down it after beating Everton but that prospect cannot be discounted entirely. <\/p>\n

The battle continues on for another week at least and none of the three teams (assuming Leeds are now safe) can rest easy just yet. <\/p>\n
