Chelsea will have a new manager in the dugout next season, and it could be their former midfielder Cesc Fabregas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues sacked Liam Rosenior on Wednesday, and it has been claimed that figures at Chelsea really appreciate Fabregas.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, how could Chelsea potentially line up under Fabregas in the 2026\/27 campaign? The Chelsea Chronicle<\/strong> has taken a look!<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s potential 4-2-3-1 under Cesc Fabregas<\/h2>\n

At Como, Fabregas has mostly used a 4-2-3-1 formation this season, the same as Rosenior and Enzo Maresca at Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Given the players in Chelsea\u2019s squad, you would expect the 38-year-old to go with that at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s owners will want to give him the best chance of success, meaning that a different goalkeeper could be added to the ranks after all of the mistakes that Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have made this term. That man could be Mike Penders, who is currently on loan at Strasbourg from Chelsea.<\/p>\n

In terms of actual new signings, Chelsea have been linked with the likes of RB Leipzig\u2019s Yan Diomande and Crystal Palace\u2019s Adam Wharton.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that Wharton is Chelsea\u2019s primary midfield target amid speculation that Enzo Fernandez could leave west London.<\/p>\n

Chelsea fans want Cesc Fabregas<\/h2>\n

Following Rosenior\u2019s dismissal, Chelsea supporters have been discussing whom they would like to see replace him on TalkingPoints.<\/p>\n

Being a fan favourite during his time as a player at Stamford Bridge and amid his success at Como, unsurprisingly, supporters have been calling for the club to appoint Fabregas.<\/p>\n

One Chelsea fan simply said: \u201cFabregas or (Xabi) Alonso\u201d. Fabregas\u2019 former Spain teammate is available after being sacked by Real Madrid in January.<\/p>\n

Another Chelsea supporter said: \u201cFabregas and (John) Terry. A win double\u201d, while one TalkingPoints user posted: \u201cWe all have seen what he has done at Como.\u201d<\/p>\n

From Fabregas\u2019 point of view, he would be taking a huge risk by ditching Como for Chelsea. The environment at his old club is just not right at this moment and is not helping anyone to thrive. <\/p>\n

Fabregas should probably wait a year or two before accepting a job that is available every other season. There is no reason for him to rush.<\/p>\n
