Manchester United have been told it will require a record-breaking fee to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid, according to a report in Spain.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils\u2019 focus this summer is a major rebuild in midfield, with a \u2018marquee\u2019 signing to replace Casemiro the most urgent priority. A \u00a339 million deal has already been struck for Ederson, though the Atalanta enforcer is seen as more of a versatile squad option than an out-and-out starter.<\/p>\n
By contrast, Fabrizio Romano reveals Tchouameni is considered the \u201cperfect signing\u201d as the 26-year-old ticks virtually every box INEOS are looking for, even if he is not \u2018Premier League proven\u2019.<\/p>\n

Yet to enter his prime, with nine trophies already in the bag and a wealth of experience at the elite level of club and international football, it is easy to see why INEOS view the Rouen native as a \u201cdream target\u201d, especially as he has already thrived as Casemiro\u2019s heir after replacing the 34-year-old Brazilian for Madrid.<\/p>\n
There has been increasing noise around Tchouameni\u2019s future at the Santiago Bernabeu, despite his contract running until 2028, with both the player and his club open to an extension. However, this is driven by Real Madrid\u2019s desire to add more creativity and control to their midfield, having re-appointed Jose Mourinho as manager.<\/p>\n
