Tottenham Hotspur are attempting to take advantage of a contract standoff and sign an English teenage starlet from Man City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spurs have completely shifted their transfer strategy this summer, going from targeting young players with potential to Premier League-proven stars.<\/p>\n

All six players Tottenham have signed this summer have arrived from other English clubs, and Roberto De Zerbi will expect them to hit the ground running at N17.<\/p>\n

However, rather than just going for established stars, it turns out that the Spurs recruitment department are also keeping an eye on the best young academy talents on the market, and they have been alerted by the latest developments in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Tottenham have held talks with Man City sensation Xavier Parker<\/h2>\n

TEAMtalk have revealed that Tottenham are now attempting to poach Xavier Parker from the Man City academy as the teenage midfielder hesitates to sign a new deal.<\/p>\n

The 16-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best talents in the City academy, with many at the club seeing him as a potential future first-team regular.<\/p>\n

That is why City are working behind the scenes to tie him down to a professional contract, having already sent an offer to the youngster.<\/p>\n

However, despite their lucrative offer, Parker has so far not committed his future to the club, and this uncertainty over his future has attracted the interest of several clubs, including Tottenham.<\/p>\n

The Lilywhites have made an approach and are attempting to lure London-born Parker back to the capital.<\/p>\n

Spurs will face intense competition for Parker<\/h2>\n

As one would expect with such a highly-rated young player, there is no shortage of interest from across the Premier League and Europe.<\/p>\n

Chelsea and Arsenal have also attempted to bring the former West Ham academy player to London, while Liverpool and Man United have put forward proposals to Parker, promising him an attractive first-team pathway.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also held discussions with the player\u2019s camp, while Real Madrid are also keeping themselves informed on the developments over the teenager\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
