{"id":15460,"date":"2026-07-08T17:26:57","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T17:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/playball.com.ng\/?p=15460"},"modified":"2026-07-08T17:26:57","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T17:26:57","slug":"andrey-santos-manchester-united-agree-deal-with-chelsea-man-united-news-and-transfer-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/playball.com.ng\/?p=15460","title":{"rendered":"Andrey Santos: Manchester United agree deal with Chelsea &#8211; Man United News And Transfer News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"penci-post-entry-inner\">\n<p>\t\t\t<i class=\"penci-post-countview-number-check\" style=\"display:none\">2<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Manchester United have reached an agreement for their second midfield signing of the summer.<\/p>\n<p>United\u2019s director of football, Jason Wilcox, spent over a month trying to convince West Ham United to lower their demands for Mateus Fernandes, but ultimately the Hammers refused to budge on their valuation and sold the Portuguese midfielder to Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n<p>After missing out on Fernandes, United approached Chelsea for their talented midfielder and, unlike during their pursuit of the West Ham man, they have swiftly wrapped up a big-money deal.<\/p>\n<h3>Manchester United agree Andrey Santos deal<\/h3>\n<p>According to The Athletic\u2019s David Ornstein, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Andrey Santos.<\/p>\n<p>United will pay a fee worth \u00a348 million plus \u00a32m in easily achievable bonuses for the services of Santos. <\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Chelsea are set to retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause for the dynamic midfielder.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old Brazilian has also agreed personal terms with United and has been given permission by Chelsea to travel and complete the transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Santos is expected to follow his fellow countryman, Ederson, to Old Trafford, as INEOS have also found a total agreement with Atalanta.<\/p>\n<h3>Why Andrey Santos is leaving Chelsea for Manchester United<\/h3>\n<p>Chelsea signed Santos, who is viewed as a strong box-to-box midfielder, from Vasco da Gama for a fee is in the region of \u00a318m in 2023.
