Chelsea have given up on their pursuit of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, according to The Athletic.<\/p>\n
They are unwilling to pay Villa\u2019s \u00a3130 million asking price.<\/p>\n
The Blues had identified Rogers as a key target to strengthen their left wing, but are now expected to pursue alternative options.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old has several admirers across Europe, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n
Chelsea lacked quality on the left flank last season, with Jamie Gittens, Pedro and Alejandro Garnacho registering just six Premier League goals between them.<\/p>\n
They are already willing to listen to offers for Garnacho, which could create room for another left-sided forward.<\/p>\n
With Rogers seemingly out of reach, Chelsea could now turn to West Ham United\u2019s Crysencio Summerville.<\/p>\n
They are reportedly interested in Summerville, but face competition from Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.<\/p>\n
West Ham are open to selling Summerville to raise funds after their relegation to the Championship. They value him at around \u00a350 million.<\/p>\n
Summerville bagged five goals and four assists in 31 Premier League games, ranking second in the Hammers\u2019 squad for league goal involvements.<\/p>\n
He impressed for the Netherlands at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, chipping in with two goals and two assists.<\/p>\n
Summerville has the technical quality and directness to thrive at Chelsea, but he needs to improve his defensive contribution and discipline to nail a starting berth.<\/p>\n
