Tottenham\u2019s pre-season preparations will begin on 10 July, giving five players the chance to impress Roberto De Zerbi ahead of the new campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur have secured several of their new signings well ahead of their pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia. <\/p>\n

Preparations for pre-season begin on 10 July before Spurs face MK Dons on 22 July at Hotspur Way in a behind-closed-doors match.<\/p>\n

That friendly marks the start of a seven-game pre-season run for the Lilywhites, featuring fixtures against Auckland FC, Sydney FC, Chelsea, Getafe and Hoffenheim.<\/p>\n

Mathys Tel needs to show he is capable of making the left wing role his own<\/h2>\n

Tel enters pre-season as the only fit left winger at the club. Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are sidelined with ACL injuries, leaving Spurs short of depth in that area. <\/p>\n

The club is actively exploring options, with Rafael Leao, Savinho, Crysencio Summerville and Cody Gakpo all linked.<\/p>\n

Tel held down the role during the Premier League run-in, producing solid displays and scoring against Leeds United. He must now prove to De Zerbi that he can make the left wing position his own.<\/p>\n

Destiny Udogie needs to show he can stay fit and sharp to keep Robertson out of the team<\/h2>\n

Udogie remains Tottenham\u2019s first-choice left back, but his fitness record is a concern. Since joining Spurs, he has yet to complete a season without injury. <\/p>\n

Last campaign was no different, prompting the club to sign Andy Robertson to provide competition.<\/p>\n

Robertson will be present in pre-season and eager to stake his claim. For Udogie, the challenge is clear: stay fit, stay sharp, and avoid setbacks, or risk losing his starting spot.<\/p>\n

Dominic Solanke has a chance to claim the number nine spot<\/h2>\n

Tottenham have strengthened midfield and defence this summer, but the forward line remains untouched. With no new striker signed yet, Solanke heads into pre-season as the main number nine.<\/p>\n

This window of opportunity allows him to showcase his ability and potentially influence Spurs\u2019 decision on whether to recruit another forward. <\/p>\n

A strong pre-season could see Solanke cement his place as the club\u2019s leading striker, while a poor one could force Tottenham to go all out for a new centre-forward.<\/p>\n

Kulusevski has endured a year out of football, and regaining his previous levels will not be easy. Long-term injuries often take a toll, and the Swede must now use pre-season to prove he still has something to offer Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Recent recovery updates show Kulusevski back on the pitch, but match action will be the true test of his fitness and sharpness.<\/p>\n

A strong pre-season from the Swede would certainly leave Tottenham feeling confident about the Swede\u2019s fitness.<\/p>\n

Archie Gray must show he can compete with Tonali and Fernandes<\/h2>\n

The arrivals of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have raised Tottenham\u2019s midfield standards but also increased competition. <\/p>\n

Lucas Bergvall has already requested to leave Spurs due to limited opportunities, yet Gray remains committed to North London.<\/p>\n

The teenager barely featured during De Zerbi\u2019s seven games in charge last season, but pre-season offers him the chance to demonstrate his quality and prove he can compete with Tonali and Fernandes.<\/p>\n
