Recent reports, however, suggest that the Red Devils are likely to miss out on Tchouameni, who is expected to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. <\/p>\n This development will be a huge blow to United\u2019s transfer plans, but it now appears that they did make an attempt to prise the player away from Real Madrid this week. <\/p>\n According to Central Defense<\/em>United submitted a \u20ac120 million (\u00a3102 million) offer for Tchouameni on Monday, which included a \u20ac100 million upfront fee and another \u20ac20 million in bonuses. However, it was turned down by the LaLiga giants. <\/p>\n The report states: \u201cOn Monday, Florentino rejected an offer from Manchester United of 100 million in a fixed fee and 20 million in bonuses for Tchouameni. Florentino did not want to sell Tchouameni to Manchester United.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAccording to information obtained by Defensa Central, Manchester United made a massive bid for Aur\u00e9lien Tchouam\u00e9ni last Monday. However, neither Real Madrid, nor Jos\u00e9 Mourinho, nor the player himself were tempted to accept it. In fact, the plan has always been to stay together for as long as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n The report also confirms that the player has signed a new deal until 2031.<\/p>\n United\u2019s willingness to submit such a sizeable bid for Tchouameni suggests that INEOS still have the financial muscle to secure a marquee signing this summer.
