Enzo Fernandez is in a tricky situation.<\/p>\n

The midfielder wants to leave Chelsea \u2013 he made that clear with his comments earlier this year, and with his subsequent refusal to commit to the club.<\/p>\n

But the fact that the Blues paid more than \u00a3100m for him and are determined to not lose a penny on any sale means that very few clubs are interested. Now that Real Madrid have declared publicly that they\u2019re not interested, there\u2019s almost nobody left.<\/p>\n

As journalist Ben Jacobs pointed out, Enzo\u2019s strong World Cup isn\u2019t really attracting suitors \u2013 it\u2019s just reinforcing Chelsea\u2019s belief that he\u2019s player worth what they\u2019re asking for.<\/p>\n

Enzo could be playing his way out of a future move<\/h2>\n

\u201cEnzo Fernandez, at the price he\u2019s valued, doesn\u2019t have that many options,\u201d Jacobs said on the London is Blue podcast this morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s again putting himself at the forefront of a lot of clubs\u2019 minds and in the shop window because of the World Cup he\u2019s having, but this will only make Chelsea double down in wanting to keep him unless their valuation is met and he\u2019s still very well contracted.\u201d<\/p>\n
