With neither Cristian Romero nor Micky van de Ven guaranteed to be at Spurs next season, Roberto De Zerbi\u2019s backline may look completely different next season.<\/p>\n

Inter Milan now in pole position to beat Tottenham to Tarik Muharemovic <\/h2>\n

Reports over recent weeks have indicated that Spurs are ready to push ahead with a move for Tarik Muharemovic, who has established a reputation as one of the best young defenders in Italian football over the last two years.<\/p>\n

It was suggested recently that Inter Milan could challenge Tottenham for the Sassuolo star, who is valued at \u20ac25m (\u00a321.7m), and it appears that the Nerrazzurri have now taken the lead in the transfer race.<\/p>\n

This is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Inter have taken a \u2018decisive and definitive\u2019 step towards signing the Bosnian international.<\/p>\n

The outlet claims that the Serie A giants are now in pole position to land Muharemovic after reaching \u2018a draft agreement\u2019 with the player\u2019s entourage.<\/p>\n

Inter have identified the 23-year-old as their top target to replace Alessandro Bastoni and are ready to offer the youngster a five-year deal at the San Siro.<\/p>\n

A move to the Premier League remains on the cards for Muharemovic <\/h2>\n

Interestingly, Gazzetta dello Sport also spoke to Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali about the centre-back\u2019s future, and he suggested that a move to England could still be on the cards for the player.<\/p>\n

Carnevali told the outlet about Muharemovic\u2019s future: \u201cIf a Premier League club were to arrive, his valuation would change.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, the publication points out that Juventus hold a 50 per cent sell-on clause on the Bosnia international, which means that the Bianconeri could sign him for half the fee that the defender\u2019s other suitors have to pay.<\/p>\n
