In a recent report, Cade Naser claimed that Chelsea have made a big offer for Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand. It has been mentioned that the Blues are ready to compete with Atletico Madrid in the race to sign the Danish talent later this year.<\/p>\n
Hjulmand\u2019s Impressive Form In Portuguese Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Hjulmand enjoyed a decent run of form at the Portuguese club after he produced a string of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 27-year-old found the back of the net on three occasions and picked up six assists in 45 matches for Sporting last season across various competitions.<\/p>\n
The Danish talent is currently among the most talented midfielders in Liga Portugal. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Blues are eyeing a move to secure the services of Hjulmand.<\/p>\n

Hjulmand is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to make some crucial interceptions for his team inside his half. He doesn\u2019t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a good passer as well.<\/p>\n
The Danish sensation can contribute by scoring and creating a few crucial goals for his team. However, only time will tell whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to get a deal done for him in this transfer window.<\/p>\n
We can expect Hjulmand to add more quality and depth to Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso\u2019s midfield department. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge in the coming years.<\/p>\n
