It has become clear that Alejandro Garnacho is not in Chelsea\u2019s plans under Xabi Alonso, however one of the boss\u2019 previous rivals has been tipped to get the best out of him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Garnacho was not one of the players pictured in Alonso\u2019s first pre-season training session, with opportunities being handed to the likes of Reggie Walsh and other academy stars.<\/p>\n

\n

The Argentine scored just one Premier League goal last season, and while the club are prepared to give Jamie Gittens another chance, they are more open to Garnacho\u2019s exit.<\/p>\n

Roma manager tipped to get the best out of Alejandro Garnacho<\/h2>\n

There are plenty of suitors in Italy who have been keen on the player since he was a Manchester United player, with Roma mentioned as a side interested in his services.<\/p>\n

Journalist Alfredo Pedulla has stated that the Serie A club seem to be ahead in the race to bring him in, after they have determined that he is the perfect addition for their manager, Gian Piero Gasperini.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cSeveral days ago,, I mentioned that there had been an exploratory enquiry about Garnacho. I can confirm that. He\u2019s a player that Roma like a lot as a left-sided attacking winger\u2014someone who operates in the final 30 metres on the left flank.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019ll rejoin the squad after his holidays next week. In the meantime, Xabi Alonso has taken charge, and after that they\u2019ll decide what to do with Garnacho.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf, as is quite possible, the decision is to send him out to play elsewhere, then Chelsea probably won\u2019t be looking at a loan immediately. They\u2019ll try to recover some money because they\u2019ve invested in him. So Roma will have to decide whether to wait for the possibility of a loan or make a permanent investment.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a side note, Napoli also asked for information about him over the last four or five days\u2014or rather, he was offered to Napoli as well. However, Napoli are currently unable to move, but Garnacho is considered the right kind of attacking winger for Gian Piero Gasperini.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gasperini has major victory over Xabi Alonso<\/h2>\n

After Bayer Leverkusen\u2019s league and cup victory under Alonso in 2024, many were tipping them to make it a treble with the Europa League when they faced Atalanta.<\/p>\n

However, they were heavily beaten on the day by Gasperini\u2019s side, inspired by an Ademola Lookman hat-trick.<\/p>\n

The result is the one blemish on a near perfect campaign for the Bundesliga side that season, and was Alonso\u2019s first taste of defeat in a final.<\/p>\n

Chelsea fans will be hoping to see plenty of more big games like this under Alonso in the coming years, and will hope he has learnt from the experience up against Gasperini two years ago.<\/p>\n
