It is understood that the Red Devils have come to an agreement with the Blues over signing the Brazilian midfield ace this summer.

Santos’ Important Role At Chelsea

The 22-year-old managed to catch the eye at times with his performances at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield in the previous campaign. Santos banged in three goals and picked up four assists in 43 matches for the Blues last season in various competitions.

The Brazilian sensation is currently among the most gifted central midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, Man United have done well to agree on a deal to bring him to Old Trafford later this year.

Santos is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder or play in the number ten position if required. He would also serve as an ideal replacement for Casemiro at the Mancunian club.

LONDON, ENGLAND – MAY 19: Andrey Santos of Chelsea celebrates scoring his team’s second goal during the Premier League match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on May 19, 2026 in London, England. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive and is an accurate distributor of the ball as well.

The Brazilian sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create a few decent chances for others around him on the offensive end of the field. However, Santos is still quite inexperienced at the highest level and would need time to make himself a regular starter at Old Trafford.

Still, we can expect the South American talent to bring more bite and steel to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s midfield department. He is capable of challenging for a regular first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams in the coming seasons.

At 22, the future looks quite bright for Santos as long as he continues to improve with each year. He will also help Man United challenge across all fronts in the future. Thus, Santos would be a good signing for the Red Devils in this summer transfer period.

[4

post-16232","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-chelsea
["GET
