Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have splashed the cash so far this summer, becoming the first Premier League teams to break their transfer records in the current window.<\/b><\/div>\n
City have signed Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a hug \u00a3116m fee, while Spurs have shattered their club record twice this summer, first for Mateus Fernandes, before surpassing that sum to sign Sandro Tonali.<\/div>\n
The pair are unlikely to be the last Premier League clubs to break their transfer records, as English clubs continue to invest extraordinary sums.<\/div>\n
Coventry City and Hull City, back in the Premier League after promotion, are sure to eclipse their current marks in a bid for survival.<\/div>\n
Manchester United, meanwhile, have gone the longest time since breaking their club record. United last broke their transfer record a decade ago, when signing Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.<\/div>\n

Interestingly, Georginio Rutter and Omari Hutchinson reach remain the record signing for two current Premier League clubs.<\/p>\n
