Julian Alvarez to Arsenal?<\/h2>\n Arsenal are pushing to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and they are keen to finalise a deal before the start of pre-season on 20 July, as per The Independent<\/b>.<\/p>\n

However, Atleti have no desire to strengthen either of their direct rivals, which could pave the way for Arsenal to pounce.<\/p>\n
The Argentina striker is reportedly Arteta\u2019s preferred attacking signing and the north London giants are now pushing to reach an agreement, although advanced negotiations over a deal may have to wait until after the World Cup.<\/p>\n
Chelsea chase Adam Wharton<\/h2>\n Chelsea have maintained contact with Adam Wharton\u2019s representatives as they explore a possible summer move for the Crystal Palace midfielder.<\/p>\n
That is according to CaughtOffside<\/b>who report that Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all cooled their interest in Wharton, with Chelsea now one of the only suitors left in the race to sign him.<\/p>\n
However, it\u2019s reported that while Chelsea remain attentive to the situation, it\u2019s likely that Wharton may still be a Crystal Palace player when the summer transfer window ends on 1 September.<\/p>\n
