Chelsea are set for another important week with Xabi Alonso settling into the club after recently beginning his role as manager.<\/p>\n

Should a team meet Chelsea’s asking price \u2014 believed to be around \u00a343 million \u2014 the South American winger will find himself joining a third club in just two years.<\/p>\n

At the other end of the spectrum, captain Reece James could soon to be returning to London as a World Cup winner.<\/p>\n

Andrey Santos is on his way to Manchester United after the Red Devils agreed a deal worth \u00a350 million (including \u00a32 million in add-ons) with the Blues.<\/p>\n

The young Brazilian had his medical at Carrington last week and is set to be announced as Michael Carrick’s first signing of the summer any day now.<\/p>\n

Improved Pep Chavarria bid<\/h2>\n
<\/p>\n
Chelsea have already identified Rayo Vallecano’s Pep Chavarria as their ideal replacement for Marc Cucurella.<\/p>\n

And although the Blues have agreed personal terms with the 28-year-old Spaniard, they have so far failed to reach an agreement with Rayo Vallecano.<\/p>\n

Chelsea’s first offer was rejected but Fabrizo Romano has told fans to expect the club to make an improved bid soon. That could be something that happens before the end of the week as Alonso looks to get all his targets through the door before the start of next season.<\/p>\n
