He dealt well with Crystal Palace’s forward threat and was crucial to Liverpool’s build-up from the back. A defence-splitting pass released Andy Robertson as Liverpool struck a second on the counter.

Centre-back: Nikola Milenkovic – Nottingham Forest

A monstrous performance from the Serbian centre-back who mopped up all danger at Sunderland. Milenkovic made a massive 15 clearances at the Stadium of Light and was a dominant presence in the air and on the ground.

Centre-back: Joachim Andersen – Fulham

Fulham kept alive hopes of European football with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa. Joachim Andersen racked up the numbers defensively for Fulham, making seven clearances and winning every aerial duel he contested (3/3). There were some nervy moments, but this was a job well done.

Left-back: El Hadji Malick Diouf – West Ham

There aren’t many better crossers of a football in the Premier League right now. Diouf might leave some space that can be exposed, but his forward qualities are right up there. The left-back created five chances in the win over Everton, with his balls into the box leading to the winner. He didn’t shirk his defensive work either, with five tackles and nine ground duels won.

Midfield: Joao Palhinha – Tottenham Hotspur

An unlikely hero for Spurs to secure the club’s first Premier League win of 2026. The substitute added some much-needed bite after his introduction and was in the right place at the right time to steer in a massive goal for Roberto De Zerbi’s team.

Midfield: Tomas Soucek – West Ham

Quite literally, everywhere. Tomas Soucek headed in the opener during West Ham’s win over Everton and was in the right place at the right time to make a goal-line clearance at the other end. In between, he covered every blade of grass. A cult hero for a reason.

How did Tomas Soucek stop that? 🤯@WestHam pic.twitter.com/uHh5XnwhaJ

— Premier League (@premierleague) April 25, 2026

Midfield: Morgan Gibbs-White – Nottingham Forest

Are you watching, Thomas Tuchel?

That’s seven goals in seven Premier League games for Morgan Gibbs-White, who was again at the centre of another Forest win.

He slid in a pass for Chris Wood to double the lead as Forest ran riot at the Stadium of Light, before slamming in the third with a crisp finish.
