Alejandro Garnacho’s Chelsea career has reached a new low.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old has been made available for transfer this summer despite only being at Stamford Bridge for one season.<\/p>\n

The young winger was not only excluded from Argentina’s final 26-man squad for this summer’s World Cup, but he was also not included in Xabi Alonso’s first Chelsea training session last week.<\/p>\n

Seemingly with his fate already sealed, Garnacho must find a new club this summer or risk being sidelined for at least six months.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The problem is though that the Blues are struggling to find a club willing to take a punt on the divisive forward.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to Alex Goldberg, who co-hosts a football podcast with former pros Troy Deeney and Asmir Begovic, Alonso has ‘handpicked’ Diego Daguerre from Uruguayan Primera Division club Cerro Largo as Garnacho’s long term replacement.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
However, despite the Blues including Garnacho in their opening offer for Daguerre, and the South American minnows sitting 12th in the Uruguayan Primera table, Cerro Largo do not want Chelsea’s number 49 anywhere near their team.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Rebuffing Chelsea’s player swap proposal, Goldberg claims Cerro Largo insisted they’d prefer their full \u00a33 million asking price instead.<\/p>\n

Of course, with the Blues wanting \u00a343 million for Garnacho, it goes without saying their idea would not have been a straight swap, but it’s possible they offered the Argentine out on loan as a way to get Daguerre to move the other way for free.<\/p>\n

However irrespective of Garnacho being a Premier League player, a former Manchester United academy graduate, an FA and Carabao Cup winner and a Copa America winner with Argentina, Cerro Largo aren’t interested in the slightest.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
That really is a damning blow for the 22-year-old, who will surely now regret throwing his toys out the pram when he decided to go to war with former Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The former United star was once adored at Old Trafford, but his failure to win Chelsea supporters over has seen his career plummet to a low not even the most critical fans would’ve expected.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Garnacho’s first, and likely last, season at Stamford Bridge saw him score just once in the Premier League; a big factor in BlueCo’s decision to get his \u00a3137,500-per week contract off their books.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Roma have also been mentioned as a possible destination for Garnacho, but the Italians, like so many other clubs, have concerns over comitting to a permanent deal.<\/p>\n
