Injury and suspension accounted for the six matches he missed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His ability to cover the entire left flank could appeal to Alonso, particularly if Chelsea use different defensive shapes next season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Gudmundsson\u2019s comments offer no indication that he intends to push for a transfer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leeds also lack an established left-footed alternative and would require a substantial offer before considering a sale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chelsea can take encouragement from Gudmundsson welcoming their interest.
