Chelsea are making little progress in their bid to sign Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea appear to be haggling over the transfer fee for Chavarria, meaning that it could soon be time for them to start looking at alternatives.<\/p>\n

The Blues have been linked with the likes of Real Madrid\u2019s Alvaro Carreras and Newcastle United\u2019s Lewis Hall, but are there any other left-backs that the club can look at? The Chelsea Chronicle<\/strong> has a few suggestions.<\/p>\n

Federico Dimarco<\/h2>\n

Federico Dimarco is going to cost significantly more than Chavarria, but he could be worth his transfer fee, especially if Xabi Alonso plans to use a back five at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Dimarco is an exceptional wing-back and proved that at Inter Milan last season. In 35 Serie A appearances, the 28-year-old provided 16 assists.<\/p>\n

Dimarco also scored seven times, meaning that he was directly involved in 23 goals in total. No Chelsea attacker managed more goal involvements than the Italian!<\/p>\n

Antonee Robinson<\/h2>\n

Chelsea have shown interest in Antonee Robinson in the past, but the Fulham star is a new name in the sense that there have been no new links this summer.<\/p>\n

Last season was not his best, but in the 2024\/25 campaign, he showed a lot of attacking threat like Dimarco.<\/p>\n

Robinson did not score in the Premier League, but he did manage to record 10 assists in 36 outings. In their search for a replacement for Marc Cucurella, they could do a lot worse than the USA international.<\/p>\n

Rico Henry<\/h2>\n

Brentford\u2019s Rico Henry is likely to be an underwhelming name for Chelsea supporters, while the Jamaica international has had some injury issues lately.<\/p>\n

However, if Chelsea are just looking for some cover, with Jorrel Hato and Marco Palestra both capable of starting on the left, Henry could be a good option.<\/p>\n

He is experienced at 28 years of age, familiar with the Premier League and should not cost too much. <\/p>\n
