Alejandro Garnacho could be set to land Manchester United vital transfer funds in the coming weeks, should a move to Roma come to fruition. The Reds only offloaded the Argentine winger to Chelsea last summer in a \u00a340million move, after he burned all bridges at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
However, it now appears as though the 22-year-old could be on the move once more, having failed to find his footing at Stamford Bridge. While Garnacho managed a goal and four assists in 24 Premier League matches last season, stiff competition saw him demoted to the bench for large parts.<\/p>\n
And in an interesting turn of events, Chelsea are now said to be willing to listen to offers for the forward – despite him being under contract until 2032. However, the crux is that Chelsea are only willing to listen to permanent offers for Garnacho and harbour no interest in letting him leave the club on loan this summer.<\/p>\n
While Roma were initially thought to be toying with the idea of signing Garnacho on a temporary basis for 2026\/27, it now appears as though they are looking to rejig their attacking line to free up transfer funds. Sunderland AFC have been linked with one of their current wingers, Matias Soule.<\/p>\n
Sources indicate that Roma are accelerating discussions with the Black Cats to facilitate a deal which would give them the financial room – as well as squad space – to pursue Garnacho. Chelsea are thought to value their talent at around \u00a343m this summer, meaning that a deal will not come cheaply.<\/p>\n
And should Roma pay what is expected from Chelsea, it could see Manchester United land a decent chunk for their own transfer kitty. United are entitled to a 10 per cent sell-on clause for Garnacho, which could come as a much-needed boost over the coming months.<\/p>\n
United are already set to pocket a financial windfall from Mason Greenwood after he joined Fenerbache this week in a deal worth \u00a338m.<\/p>\n

After a slow start to the window, United have started to make significant progress in terms of additions to their first team.<\/p>\n
The club completed a \u00a348m move for Chelsea’s Andrey Santos earlier this week, as well as a \u00a335m transfer of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, as they look to strengthen their engine room.<\/p>\n
Karl Darlow has also been acquired as a free agent to serve as second string to Senne Lammens and impart his knowledge.<\/p>\n
