Como have made advances in their pursuit of Chelsea\u2018s Trevoh Chalobah and are edging closer to completing his signing. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Sport Witness relayed news the centre-back favoured Inter Milan over Como, who made multiple bids.<\/p>\n

The Serie A winners have found it difficult to meet Chelsea\u2019s \u20ac35m price. Meanwhile, Cesc F\u00e0bregas\u2019 side haven\u2019t given up and are likely to end up securing his services.<\/p>\n

Como held talks with Inter about Chelsea player <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Como president Mirwan Suwarso has revealed a discussion with Inter Milan chairman and CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, about the England international, and Tuttosport have relayed his comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been the subject of media reports about us competing with another Italian team for a British player,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018You know what? Why don\u2019t I call the president of the other team and ask him, \u2018Do you want him?\u2019 If you want him, go ahead, we\u2019ll back out. But if you buy him, give me one of your players.\u2019 And he said, \u2018Thanks for the call. I appreciate it, we\u2019ll let you know by the end of the day. If we don\u2019t go ahead, these are the other objectives we were pursuing. We\u2019re happy to share them with you.\u2019 So, for me, this type of relationship is beneficial for both clubs; it helps us all grow.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Como moving forward to sign Chelsea man<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports Xabi Alonso\u2019s side have rejected two bids from Como for the 27-year-old.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no mention of the figures or about a new offer for the defender.<\/p>\n

However, he states the \u2018parties have reached an agreement, and Trevoh Chalobah is ready to wear the Como shirt\u2019. It\u2019s not clear whether Como have agreed terms with the player, the Blues or both.<\/p>\n

Either way, there\u2019s confidence the move will go through as Di Marzio says Cesc F\u00e0bregas\u2019 side are \u2018ready to close the deal\u2019. There\u2019s a \u2018final meeting scheduled\u2019 to iron out the last details of the operation.<\/p>\n

Chalobah, who joined Chelsea in 2007, climbed through their ranks and made his first team debut in 2018. Since then, he\u2019s had four loan spells and will leave for Como this summer.<\/p>\n
