Chelsea are strictly hunting for proven, battle-tested heavyweights as they look for a new manager.<\/p>\n

After watching the dressing room completely unravel under Rosenior, the ownership has finally realised that they need someone with Premier League experience.<\/p>\n

According to Sky Sports News\u2019 Kaveh Solhekol, the club is heavily leaning toward candidates with established Premier League experience. At the top of the pile is Andoni Iraola.<\/p>\n

The Spanish tactician has already publicly confirmed he will be stepping down from his role at Bournemouth at the end of the season, making him an incredibly attractive, compensation-free target who knows exactly how to succeed in England\u2019s top flight.<\/p>\n

Also firmly in the mix is Marco Silva. The Portuguese manager has done a phenomenal job establishing Fulham as a tough, highly competitive Premier League outfit.<\/p>\n

Crucially, his contract at Craven Cottage completely runs out in just two months.<\/p>\n

Snatching a rival\u2019s manager on a free transfer, especially one who already lives in West London and boasts years of top-flight experience, makes a ton of logical and financial sense.<\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso remains a massive figure of interest for the club\u2019s hierarchy. The 44-year-old is currently out of work following his abrupt departure from Real Madrid back in January.<\/p>\n

While he lacks Premier League managerial experience, his historic, invincible Bundesliga triumph with Bayer Leverkusen easily satisfies the board\u2019s desire for a \u201cproven track record at a high level.\u201d<\/p>\n

With high-calibre options like Iraola, Silva, and Alonso all readily available, they have absolutely no excuse for getting this appointment wrong.<\/p>\n
