Tottenham Hotspur have now discovered their 2026\/27 power ranking among global football teams following Opta\u2019s latest verdict<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There is no denying that Tottenham Hotspur have been performing below par domestically over the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

In 2024\/25, Spurs recorded their worst finish of the Premier League era when they ended the campaign in 17th place, although they avoided the full bloodbath of a relegation battle.<\/p>\n

The Lilywhites then repeated that disappointing finish last season, but this time came very close to losing their Premier League status, only needing a final-day victory over Everton to avoid relegation to the Championship.<\/p>\n

Overall, the 2025\/26 season was a disaster for Spurs, who went winless throughout the first four months of 2026 \u2013 a run that almost proved costly.<\/p>\n

Tottenham discover latest Opta world club ranking<\/h2>\n

It took Roberto De Zerbi to steady the ship at Tottenham after being appointed manager back in April. The Italian went on to secure three wins from his seven games in charge and picked up an impressive 11 points from a possible 21.<\/p>\n

That run proved pivotal as Spurs avoided the drop. Over the final five games of the season, Tottenham were the third most in-form team after collecting 10 points, with only Manchester United and Arsenal enjoying a better run.<\/p>\n

Opta\u2019s latest rankings have now been revealed, and Spurs find themselves among the top 30 clubs in men\u2019s football after being placed 30th.<\/p>\n

Above them are several other Premier League sides, with Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Everton all ranked higher than the Lilywhites.<\/p>\n

Of course, given the poor campaign Tottenham endured last season, it is not entirely surprising to see 13 Premier League teams placed above them.<\/p>\n

Spurs received a rating of 90.3 out of 100. These rankings compare almost 13,500 men\u2019s clubs from more than 180 countries, with the highest-rated side in world football awarded a score of 100 and every other team ranked relative to them. <\/p>\n

The system is updated daily and takes into account results, opposition strength and overall performance levels to create a global leaderboard.<\/p>\n

Spurs can climb the Opta rankings under Roberto De Zerbi<\/h2>\n

The Lilywhites now have the opportunity to improve their standing in the latest rankings this season as they look to compete with some of the best teams in the world once again.<\/p>\n

Work is being done in the transfer market to ensure a repeat of the last two seasons is avoided, with Tottenham continuing to splash the cash.<\/p>\n

Thus far, Spurs have spent a whopping \u00a3237 million on new additions, and the expectation is that the figure could rise even further as the summer transfer window continues.<\/p>\n

Many have tipped Tottenham to secure a top-five finish in De Zerbi\u2019s first full season following the club\u2019s latest recruitment drive, including Harry Redknapp.<\/p>\n
