Chelsea are exploring options for Gabriel Slonina\u2019s future, and the goalkeeper has already been seen linking up with Strasbourg on the training pitch.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gabriel Slonina\u2019s time at Chelsea has been a massive test of patience. Arriving with massive hype and a \u00a310 million price tag in 2022, the young American keeper is still waiting to make his competitive debut.<\/p>\n

Instead, his development has been a whirlwind of loan spells, ranging from Belgium\u2019s top flight to League One with Barnsley. <\/p>\n

At just 22, he finds himself in a heavily congested goalkeeping department at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea\u2019s decision-makers now actively trying to figure out where his long-term future lies.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Slonina is currently in France training with sister club Strasbourg, essentially on a trial basis as Chelsea try to sort out his next move. <\/p>\n

The BlueCo connection makes this an obvious link, especially since Strasbourg need a new number one after Mike Penders returned to Stamford Bridge. <\/p>\n

It is a massive opportunity for the 22-year-old to get some proper top-flight minutes. However, it\u2019s not a done deal yet; Strasbourg\u2019s staff, under manager Hugo Oliveira, are closely testing him to see if he\u2019s the right fit.<\/p>\n
