Manchester United and Chelsea could make advances to sign AS Roma\u2019s Manu Kon\u00e9, after initial approaches. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Last weekend, we relayed news that Manchester United have contacted the midfielder\u2019s agent.<\/p>\n

Two days ago, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy of a potential Chelsea push.<\/p>\n

Manchester United and Chelsea keen <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Friday\u2019s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport states the two English clubs are pursuing different paths.<\/p>\n

Michael Carrick\u2019s side have approached his entourage and found out his total willingness for the transfer even though his dream is to join Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n

The Blues talked about the France international with AS Roma when discussing Alejandro Garnacho.<\/p>\n

Manchester United and Chelsea are expected to submit offers in the coming days. There\u2019s no mention of a figure while the Serie A side\u2019s expectation is to collect around \u20ac55-60m.<\/p>\n

Red Devils ahead of Chelsea <\/strong><\/h2>\n

On Saturday, France face England in the third place play-off, and Manu Kon\u00e9 is preparing for this clash. He asked his agent to suspend transfer negotiations during the World Cup.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to today\u2019s Corriere dello Sport, who claim he will decide his future after this clash.<\/p>\n

Corriere make no mention of Chelsea or any other club apart from Manchester United, who are in the front row.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils have maintained contact with his agent but are yet to officially approach AS Roma.<\/p>\n

Gian Piero Gasperini\u2019s side are confident his World Cup displays have increased the value. They value him over \u20ac50m and have no intention of lowering the price.<\/p>\n

A sale above \u20ac50m will result in a significant capital gain, which can help Roma carry out signings.<\/p>\n

Roma are now waiting for an approach from the Premier League. The newspaper says the \u2018feeling is that next week could be the real turning point\u2019, and whether that\u2019s the case remains to be seen.<\/p>\n

A move to Old Trafford will see Kon\u00e9 play in the Champions League next season while Xabi Alonso\u2019s side haven\u2019t qualified for Europe.<\/p>\n
