Former Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has broken his silence on his brutal Stamford Bridge sacking, admitting there are things he definitely should have done better.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liam Rosenior\u2019s rollercoaster of a year took another dramatic turn this summer after his brief stint as Chelsea head coach lasted just 106 days. <\/p>\n

Tasked with steadying a sinking ship, Rosenior struggled to win over the dressing room, and a brutal run of five straight league defeats without a single goal culminated in his April sacking. <\/p>\n

However, the Englishman didn\u2019t have to wait long to get back in the dugout. In July, he was appointed as the new head coach of Ligue 1\u2019s Paris FC, eager to put things right in familiar surroundings.<\/p>\n

Liam Rosenior reflects on his time as Chelsea boss<\/h2>\n

In comments shared by the BBC, Liam Rosenior has taken a rather reflective and honest view on his time at Chelsea, admitting he did make mistakes along the way. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe joined the club in the middle of a season and at a difficult moment, and I learned many lessons,\u201d Rosenior said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are things I definitely could have done better and things I could have taken more accountability for, but there were also positive aspects to what we did.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wish them all the best in the future. I think they have a fantastic manager in Xabi Alonso and I will be following their results.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Liam Rosenior talks about taking more \u201caccountability\u201d for his short-lived Chelsea spell, one thing that stands out is the Blues\u2019 disastrous disciplinary record. During his time in charge, Chelsea were a disciplinary nightmare, racking up nine red cards across all competitions. <\/p>\n

Early on, Rosenior tried to shrug off the chaos, claiming he liked his players to have \u201can edge.\u201d But as the dismissals piled up, including costly red cards for Wesley Fofana and Pedro Neto, he was forced to change his tune, desperately threatening squad drops. <\/p>\n

He also struggled to manage squad fitness, particularly with Cole Palmer, whose performances dipped dramatically while playing through a lingering groin injury and in an unusual position out wide. <\/p>\n

There was also the glaring issue of his repetitive respect the ball tactical philosophy, which players quickly grew tired of as Chelsea\u2019s form nosedived.<\/p>\n
