Liam Rosenior has spoken out for the first time since leaving his position as Chelsea head coach.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old was controversially appointed as Enzo Maresca’s successor at the start of the year but lasted just 104 days before being sacked.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
BlueCo’s decision to appoint Rosenior was a mistake they’ve clearly acknowledged after working hard to bring Xabi Alonso in with the title ‘manager’, giving him a lot more say in the club’s transfer activity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And with Rosenior recently unveiled as Paris FC’s new manager, things seemed to have worked out for the best for everyone.<\/p>\n

Following his appointment at Paris FC, the former Strasbourg manager has broken his silence on his time at Chelsea and explained why it didn’t go to plan.<\/p>\n

“We joined the club in the middle of a season and at a difficult moment, and I learned many lessons,” <\/strong><\/em>Rosenior told BBC Sport.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “There are things I definitely could have done better and things I could have taken more accountability for, but there were also positive aspects to what we did.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rosenior managed just 23 games in charge at Chelsea. His short reign saw him average just 1.52 points per match and led to the side finishing 10th in the Premier League table \u2014 a key driver in BlueCo’s decision to change direction.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And discussing his former club’s decision to hire Alonso, Rosenior gave a classy response, wishing the Blues and their new manager nothing but the best.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “I wish them all the best in the future. I think they have a fantastic manager in Xabi Alonso and I will be following their results,” <\/strong><\/em>he added.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Those lessons I take from Chelsea will help me in this role and, hopefully, help this club become a very big club in world football as well.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rosenior’s new role in France in charge of Paris FC has seen him replace Antoine Kombouare.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Discussing the next chapter in his career, the former Chelsea head coach said: “Ligue 1 is a fantastic league.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “I said that when I left Strasbourg for Chelsea. I feel that my staff and I have joined an exciting project with enormous potential. It was an opportunity I could not turn down.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Paris FC finished 11 in Ligue 1 last season.
