Arsenal legend Jens Lehmann has had his say on Chelsea\u2019s search for a new manager, with compatriot Julian Nagelsmann one name currently being linked with the job.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea sacked Liam Rosenior last week before turning to Calum McFarlane, but the 40-year-old is only interim boss.<\/p>\n

\n

The Blues need to hire a permanent head coach this summer, and Nagelsmann is thought to be under consideration at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Jens Lehmann urges Chelsea to go after Julian Nagelsmann<\/h2>\n

Lehmann thinks Nagelsmann is someone Arsenal\u2019s London rivals should be looking at in their bid to replace Rosenior.<\/p>\n

When asked if he thinks Nagelsmann will still be Germany boss after the World Cup, Lehmann told talkSPORT: \u201cWell, if he performs not really well, I think he must be exchanged, that\u2019s for sure, because we have a different expectation.<\/p>\n

\u201cChelsea were so unfortunate with their appointments of recent coaches. Yeah, they can try Nagelsmann.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fact that Nagelsmann is Germany manager could be one sticking point for Chelsea. The Club World Cup winners will want their next head coach installed before the start of football\u2019s biggest tournament.<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, the 38-year-old does appear to be one option for Chelsea.<\/p>\n

It has been claimed that Chelsea\u2019s owners are big fans of Nagelsmann, making him someone the club could decide to approach.<\/p>\n

It is believed that Chelsea have already opened talks with Andoni Iraola, who will be easier to appoint.<\/p>\n

Iraola is leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season, so the Conference League holders would be able to bring him in much earlier than Nagelsmann and for nothing.<\/p>\n

Why Julian Nagelsmann is ideal for Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Nagelsmann is probably the best appointment that Chelsea can make this summer. He ticks all the boxes for a big club.<\/p>\n

Despite being only 38, Nagelsmann is already an experienced coach at the highest level. He is managing Germany right now and has also coached Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in the past.<\/p>\n

Nagelsmann has won the Bundesliga title at Bayern and managed both clubs in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

His style is all about attacking, pressing and positional play, which is the kind of football most owners want to see these days.<\/p>\n

And unlike Rosenior, after working with the Germany national team and at Bayern, Nagelsmann has experience dealing with big players and personalities. <\/p>\n
