However, Rogers has chosen Chelsea as his preferred destination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The England international would give Alonso another proven Premier League attacker who can play centrally or from the left.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rogers scored 14 goals and registered 12 assists in 55 appearances for Villa last season. He helped Unai Emery\u2019s side win the Europa League and secure Champions League qualification.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has also featured in all six of England\u2019s World Cup matches this summer. Rogers assisted Anthony Gordon\u2019s goal during the semi-final defeat against Argentina.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chelsea had previously faced a reported \u00a3130m valuation for the attacker.
