I believe Chelsea fans will mostly be rather underwhelmed with the news that Newcastle United\u2019s Anthony Gordon is a target this summer.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Gordon looks like he could leave Newcastle at the end of the season, and Chelsea are apparently one of the clubs looking into signing him.<\/p>\n

I think he\u2019s pretty decent, but he\u2019s inconsistent and underwhelming \u2013 we already have enough of those types in our squad. Scrolling down my social media feed this morning and the general reaction to the Gordon news is not a great one from what I can see from Chelsea fans that I follow.<\/p>\n

So, is this a possible move they need to be concerned about happening?<\/p>\n

The Athletic are reporting that Chelsea are interested in signing Gordon, with any potential transfer not believed to be dependent on Chelsea qualifying for the Champions League.<\/span><\/p>\n

It goes on to say that Chelsea want players with top-league experience who are used to the tough schedule of playing in four competitions in a season. They are also looking for players who are emotionally mature and have strong character.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the new manager hunt, sources all over are reporting that Chelsea have made\u00a0contact with Andoni Iraola \u2013 and the reasons for that are pretty obvious.<\/p>\n

Liam Rosenior called out his players after his last game in charge \u2013 and in many ways was proved right by their performance yesterday. Trevoh Chalobah has shrugged off these criticisms.<\/p>\n
