Rogers will become the second signing made by Chelsea since Alonso was confirmed as the club\u2019s new man in charge.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers then started and finished England\u2019s incredible 6-4 win over France in Miami. On Monday, he will do his medical, and it is not expected to take long for the England star to be named a new Chelsea player.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rogers-once-admitted-he-couldn-t-get-past-caicedo\">Rogers once admitted he couldn\u2019t get past Caicedo<\/h2>\n<p>It sees Rogers become Cole Palmer\u2019s teammate once again. Back in 2025, Rogers admitted he could not find his way past Chelsea star Moises Caicedo while playing for Villa.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers told Sky Sports: \u201cI didn\u2019t play against him (Caicedo) much this year (2024-25) because of positions we played. Last year, played him at home, he\u2019s quick, strong. Elliot Anderson has bounced into fourth this summer, costing Manchester City \u00a3116m.<\/p>\n<p>If Rogers\u2019 deal does go ahead as expected, he will become the fourth-most expensive transfer in history, costing Chelsea just \u00a31m more than City paid for Anderson.
